Both kinds of spring have arrived and we even had a pleasant few days. I’ve managed to wear trainers a couple of times and even go out without a coat. But now it’s colder again and I’m glad I didn’t put away my winter clothes just yet.

Is Snubby my lost-long brother? – Brodie

As you can probably guess we are reading the Barney mysteries right now, having started with The Rockingdown Mystery. We are finding a lot of similarities between Snubby and Brodie (always messy, always talking for starters) and now he’s convinced they’re related. I’m just waiting for us to reach Rat-a-Tat and Snubby with the bear rug because Brodie just got a brown faux fur rug for his bedroom because he’s been begging for one for ages. (It was a fiver in Aldi, for context.) I can just see him draping it (small though it is) over himself and pretending to be a bear.
