Here is mine then. Mystery of the Strange Messages, is probably the best one of the whole series. Almost all (sorry Larry) contribute and as of the previous book (Missing Man) Fatty misjudges the situation and has to be rescued. Not so clever after all! They are a far tighter unit and seem more together as a result, though towards the end Fatty, and the no longer outsider Ern, do dominate. For once, the Author does not give the reader hints at the start of the story as to what may be going on (like in Spiteful Letters) even to the adult mind. A very enjoyable read .
