I realised a few days ago that I’d misnumbered the Monday posts because after #789 I’d done #780, #781 and so on. So I renumbered them. Then I happened to scroll back and realise I had made the same mistake ten posts before, going from an earlier #789 to #780. It’s like I don’t actually know how numbers work, sometimes?
Anyway, I corrected those, and recorrected the ones I’d already corrected, and today’s post jumped from #783 to #793 to #803.
But you’ll notice that this isn’t Monday #803. That’s because I scrolled back further and found I also went from #639 to #670… and then from #678 to #770 (I was skipping #679 so it should have been #680).
I think I’ve got it right now? But who knows. This is why I blog about words and not numbers.

Reading the Caravan Family to Brodie part 2
My laptop homescreen has been one of Brodie’s Famous Five picture (below) for a couple of years now. He saw it the other week and said he was going to draw me a new one.

So off he went and wouldn’t let me look – even though he was using my good pens, and then he came to show me his new drawing.

That’s an underground cavern, armed with a missile launcher. (You can see the ‘misil’ on the lorry at the right.) The missile is going to be filled with the green acid from the tank and launched out the hole in the roof.
That’s Julian abseiling down – aka ‘the one with the rope always around his waist’, and one of the Five peering in at the top. It was supposed to be Timmy but it ended up looking more like a person.
I said I didn’t remember that storyline from any of the books, and was told that he’d made up a new story for them, of course! Five Find the Missile Underground.
