    Hi everyone
I hope someone can help me. In one of the Noddy books there’s a poem that starts:-
I wish I was a duck with splishy splashy feet
    Does anyone know the rest?
    Thanks in advance

Could this be it? (From You Funny Little Noddy).
      With puddles in the street,
And raindrops bumping on my nose,
      And splishy-splashy feet!
      I wish I was a little duck
      That didn’t wear a mac,
I’d like to feel the raindrops run
      All down my feathery back!
      I really love.—”

He gets interrupted by the milkman then, so we won’t ever know how it ends!

It appears “Salute the children” was written specially for the Daily Mail Annual for Girls and Boys (1944). I don’t see any record of it being reprinted. I don’t have that annual but perhaps someone who sees these comments will.

The Shepherd by Enid Blyton appeared incomplete as there was a further verse, goes like this: “I wish I knew the things he knows, The night time skies, the wind that blows, The singing birds, the bleating skies, I wish I were a Shepherd wise.

How can I find the full poem?

I know a man who’ s old and wise,

He reads the wind, he reads the skies,

He knows when storms will blow his way,

He knows what rain will fall each day.

He’ll take you where the primrose shines,

      He knows the early celandines,

He names each bird that by him flies,

His eyes are very blue and wise

All day and night he tends the sheep,

He hears them bleating in his sleep,

There’s not a lamb upon the farm,

He hasn’t carried in his arm.

I wish I knew the things he knows,

The night-time skies, the wind that blows,

The singing birds, the bleating cries-

      I wish I were a shepherd wise.
