After me complaining endlessly about the cold miserable weather today was the hottest May day ever. I really should be more careful what I wish for! At least this far north it was only in the low twenties and was tolerable thanks to the breeze. As it was a bank holiday we spent the afternoon at the beach – though we are not as hardy as George is and we did not bathe, just paddled.

More Magic Faraway Tree film news this week – it’s now available to rent or buy. The pricing is clearly designed to make you want to buy it – as it’s £19.99 to buy, or £15.99 to rent it. (It cost us £14.98 for two of us to see it in the cinema – though I suppose if you were going to watch it as a larger group it’s not bad value. Still better buying it if you think you’d watch it again.) It’ll probably come down in price the longer it’s out, and I imagine it’ll come to streaming later this year as well.
