This could have been a good adaptation as the book has so much going on but, as in the other episodes, they have changed the story line so much that it bears scant resemblance to the book. This production company have ruined the Adventure and Secret series completely in my opinion. If you want to see an Enid Blyton series adapted properly see the Malory Towers 2020 adaptation on CBBC. It is brilliant and is now available on BBC i player.

I’ve read both your reviews on the Malory Towers TV series, and I found them really interesting since I’ve read the books, and the missing characters which I’m sad they didn’t include – likewise with you! They have now made up to Series 5, and I believe Series 6 is in the making. I would love if you could leave some more reviews for the latest episodes. Just as a note which really annoyed me in Series 3: Zerelda Brass (the American girl) is not included at all, and I was looking forward to seeing how they portrayed her as she had a main-ish part in the one of the books.

It has always been my plan to review more episodes – it’s just getting round to it that’s the problem. But I’ve decided – as soon as I’ve scheduled tomorrow’s post I’m going to watch series 3 episode 1 and take some notes. Disappointing to hear that Zerelda is missing – that will surely feature as a complaint in my review(s).
